Guns 'N Roses are going on an international tour—and taking Public Enemy with them. On Monday (December 9), Flavor Flav shared an Instagram post announcing the news. He wrote in the caption, "FLAVOR FLAV: WE ARE GOING ON TOUR WITH GUNS N’ ROSES!!! Guns N’ freaking Roses." 

Produced by Live Nation, the 24-date trek begins next May in Saudi Arabia and ends on July 31 in Germany. Other special guests include the remaining members of the Sex Pistols and Rival Sons. No U.S. dates have been announced—at least not yet.

Yo! MTV Raps legend Doctor Dré celebrated a birthday on Thursday (December 5), his 61st revolution around the sun. Born in Westbury, New York, the man born André Brown was a DJ at WBAU, the radio station of Adelphi University in Garden City, New York.

Along with three other DJs at the station, he formed the "Concept Crew." In 1986, they renamed themselves Original Concept and released their sole album in 1988, Straight from the Basement of Kooley High, on Def Jam Recordings.

Boasting 19 tracks, the project includes guest vocals from Killer Mike, Busta Rhymes, Xzibit, Snoop Dogg, E-40 and Too $hort, among others. Kendrick Lamar pulled off the surprise of the year with a new album called GNX. The Compton-raised rap juggernaut dropped the 12-track project seemingly out of nowhere on Friday morning (November 22) with production by Sounwave, Mustard, Jack Antonoff and more.

It's a return to that pure West Coast rap sound that put Kendrick on the map and a staunch departure from 2022's Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers. While the full credits have yet to be released, former Top Dawg Entertainment labelmate SZA shows up on "luther" and Kendrick addresses his highly publicized beef with Drake on the opening track "wacced out murals." Christopher "Kid" Reid and Christopher "Play" Martin—the members of Kid 'N Play—were recently inducted into the Berklee College of Music Hip-Hop Hall of Fame. The duo put out three albums, including Funhouse (1990) and Face the Nation (1991), which led to singles like "Funhouse" and "Ain't Gonna Hurt Nobody" topping the Billboard charts. The pair also made films like House Party and Class Act, furthering cementing their legacy.
