Little Brother fans will have a lot to be thankful for following Thursday's (November 23) Thanksgiving holiday. The following day, the group's new documentary, May The Lord Watch: The Little Brother Story, will hit their YouTube channel at 8 p.m. ET.
"Little Brother entered this business independently and based on the current landscape, we see no need to change course," Phonte said in a statement. "This film is a love letter to our fans, a celebration of the people who made us, and a testament to our core values of authenticity, ownership, and craftsmanship. It took us five years to complete this, and it finally feels right."
Rapper Big Pooh added, "One of the things I’ve been hearing people talk about is how our music was either shared with them or they shaRead more
André 3000 announced his triumphant return on Tuesday (November 14), telling NPR his debut solo album, New Blue Sun, will arrive this week. But it's not exactly what longtime Outkast fans were expecting. Instead of a proper Hip-Hop album, it's 87 minutes of experimental jazz primarily composed using his instrument of choice, the flute.
But the tracklist is even more mind-blowing. In a post making the rounds on Reddit, the titles of eight tracks are displayed in all their glory. The first one, however, is perhaps the most telling: "I Swear, I Really Wanted To Make A 'Rap' Album But This Is Literally The Way The Wind Blew Me This Time."
If that sounds like a Lana Del Rey album title, that's just the beginning—it only gets more elaborate from there. Other titles iRead more

DJ Kool Herc was among the class of 13 inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Friday night (November 3) at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Following an introduction by LL COOL J, DJ Kool Herc walked arm-in-arm with his sister Cindy Campbell to accept the Musical Influence honor. But before he could even get to the stage, Kool Herc began to cry, overwhelmed with emotion. As LL COOL J noted in his speech, August 11, 2023 marked the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop, the same date in 1973 Kool Herc and Campbell threw their iconic back to school jam at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue in the Bronx.
As a result, DJ Kool Herc is often referred to as the Godfather of Hip-Hop, a title he clearly doesn’t take lightly. AllHipHop was backstage as Kool Herc took the stage to accept his trophy fromRead more
