Ice Cube Is Back With First New Album In Six Years "Man Down"
Ice Cube has returned with his first new album in six years, Man Down. Boasting 19 tracks, the project includes guest vocals from Killer Mike, Busta Rhymes, Xzibit, Snoop Dogg, E-40 and Too $hort, among others. The lead single, "It's My Ego," has already been crowned the biggest solo single of Cube's career. Other highlights—"I'mma Burn Rubber," "Facts" featuring J-Dee of the Lench Mob, "Especially You" and "So Sensitive"—prove Ice Cube still has the Midas touch when crafting a West Coast classic.
Man Down serves as the follow up to 2018's Everythangs Corrupt and marks the N.W.A legend's eleventh studio album. In the interim, Cube has been busy with his Mount Westmore project, Big3 basketball league and, of course, television/film production company, C

Kendrick Lamar pulled off the surprise of the year with a new album called GNX. The Compton-raised rap juggernaut dropped the 12-track project seemingly out of nowhere on Friday morning (November 22) with production by Sounwave, Mustard, Jack Antonoff and more.
It's a return to that pure West Coast rap sound that put Kendrick on the map and a staunch departure from 2022's Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers. While the full credits have yet to be released, former Top Dawg Entertainment labelmate SZA shows up on "luther" and Kendrick addresses his highly publicized beef with Drake on the opening track "wacced out murals." He also references the Lil Wayne Super Bowl controversy on the same track.
Kendrick is coming off perhaps one of his most successful years o

It's nearly impossible to sum up the seismic impact Quincy Jones had on the music industry.
The legendary polymath, who died at his home in Bel-Air on Sunday (November 3), envisioned and executed some of the most influential albums of all time, including Michael Jackson's 1982 masterpiece Thriller, forever changing the landscape of popular music. But beyond his genius-level talent and seemingly endless accolades, he was beloved by all who knew him.
Perhaps Will Smith (also known as the Fresh Prince) said it best: "Quincy Jones is the true definition of a Mentor, a Father and a Friend. He pointed me toward the greatest parts of myself. He defended me. He nurtured me. He encouraged me. He inspired me. He checked me when he needed to. He let me use his wings until mine we

Madlib filed a lawsuit against former manager Egon on Thursday (October 31), the four-year anniversary of MF DOOM’s death. He chose the date to honor DOOM, whose family is currently in litigation with Egon over several missing notebooks that belonged to the late MC.
In a complaint observed by RapStation, Madlib (real name Otis Jackson) accused Egon of several shady practices, including mismanaging his finances, skimming money generated from his recorded music and locking him out of several “key music business platforms” like Ingrooves, Apple Music, YouTube, BandCamp, Instagram and Facebook.
Madlib was signed to Stones Throw Records and released his first single with the label, “Microphone Mathematics,” in 1999. Egon was worki
