The sixth annual 'Donuts Are Forever' celebration for the late J Dilla is happening on February 19, 2012. 'Donuts Are Forever 6' is taking place in New York City at Brooklyn Bowl, with doors opening at 6pm and the show set to start at 8pm and tickets ranging from $5 to $10. James "J Dilla/Jay Dee" Yancey passed away from complications of lupus on February 10, 2006 and the first 'Donuts Are Forever' party was held a year later. RIP to the great Don Cornelius of Soul Train

A person called the police from Mr. Cornelius’s house on Mulholland Drive in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood just before 4 a.m. and reported shots had been fired, a police spokesman, Chris No, said. When officers arrived, they were let into the house and found Mr. Cornelius lying lifeless on the floor with a gunshot wound to the head that appeared to be self-inflicted, said the Los Angeles County assistant chief coroner, Ed Winter.
