De La Soul Is Working On Two New Albums With Pete Rock And DJ Premier
De La Soul is working on a follow-up to 2016's And The Anonymous Nobody as well as a third installment of the Art Official Intelligence series.
Prolific producer Pete Rock spilled the beans on Twitter earlier this week. "DE LA SOUL PRODUCED BY PETE ROCK & DJ PREMIER COMING IN 2019!! Stay tuned baby," he wrote.
According to HipHopDX, Maseo confirmed the two projects were indeed on the way.

Although Childish Gambino — aka Donald Glover — was noticeably absent from the 61st Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night (February 10), his presence was felt in a massive away.
Not only did his politically daring visual for "This Is America" win in the Best Music Video category, it also earned the gilded trophy for Song of The Year, a first for any rapper.
It also marked only the ninth time in Grammy history the coveted honor had been given to a black songwriter out of the 61 times it's been handed out over the years.

Philly radio legend Lady B is back on the airwaves after Radio One’s WRNB100.3FM abruptly fired her in December 2017. Although the station never revealed exactly why she was terminated, civil rights attorney Michael Coard believes the veteran radio host was relieved of her responsibilities for speaking out about socially relevant issues.
According to The Philadelphia Tribune, social media exploded after Lady B was fired. In just three days, there were approximately 13,000 reactions on just one Facebook page in addition to thousands of Twitter and Instagram reactions.
While Coard is grateful Lady B has her position back, he's still not happy about how the whole situation was handled.

Ahead of Crumbzilla's forthcoming "SPC SKEATH" album, the seasoned Pittsburgh rapper has delivered a single from the project titled "I Don't Need That." The track features a guest spot from fellow MC Blender and beats from C-Lance.
"SPC SKEATH" boasts appearances from Rittz, KXNG Crooked, Slipknot's Sid Wilson and Wu-Tang Clan affiliate Killah Priest as well as production from Jared Lee Gosselin and Rob Harkness.
"SPC SKEATH" is scheduled to be released in February 2019 under RBC Records & Roger That Records A&R’d by renowned Wu-Tang / Hip-Hop Extraordinaire Matt "M-Eighty" Markoff.

Big Boi Taps Fellow Dungeon Family Members For Two New Singles
Ahead of Big Boi's halftime performance at Super Bowl LIII on Sunday (February 3), the Outkast MC has dropped two new singles boasting guest spots from fellow Dungeon Family members.
On Friday (February 1), Daddy Fat Sax surprised his fans with "Doin It" featuring Killer Mike and Backbone as well as "Return Of The Dope Boi" featuring Sleepy Brown.
Big Boi must be feeling nostalgic as of late. He recently purchased The Dungeon studio in Atlanta, where classics albums such as Outkast’s "Southerplayalisticadillacmuzik" and Goodie Mob’s "Soul Food" were recorded.
