Birthday Greetings to the Godfather Himself, Eazy-E!
Stop the press and take a minute of silence, today embodies the birth of the late-but-forever-great Eric Lynn Wright—but y’all know him as the one and only Eazy-E.
Dishing out hits and records in the Hip-hop world, Eazy-E became an iconic figure both as a solo artist and member of the controversial N.W.A. Born and raised straight outta Compton, Wright played no stranger to rap, and even in this day-and-age, he still rightfully deserves the title “The Godfather of Gangsta Rap”.
Who could forget Wright, teaming up with Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and Arabian Prince, to form the infamous rap group, “Niggas With Attitude”, and their most controversial album, Straight Outta Compton—an album so cohesive Hollywood

In the Hip-hop scene—well, in music as a whole—one simply can’t dismiss a bio that features prominent careers in rapping, acting, and modelling. Today, that catalog bears a specific name, and her name is Foxy Brown.
Inga DeCarlo Fung Marchand, was born September 6th, 1978 in Brooklyn New York. In 1994, Brown caught the attention of Trackmasters (Poke & Tone) Productions, while performing at a talent contest in Brooklyn—she won, by the way. Impressed, Brown was invited to rap over LL Cool J’s single “I Shot Ya” off the Mr. Smith record.
Following her introduction into the Hip-hop industry, the name Foxy Brown became a distinguished title found among several RIAA platinum and gold tracks with i

September 6th, 1977 marked the date Mr. Victor Santiago Jr. came to be—but you might know him better as the Queens-based Hip-hop/Reggaeton artist N.O.R.E.
Formerly known as Noreaga, Santiago debuted into Hip-hop as one-half of the Capone-N-Noreaga tandem in 1995. Signed under Penalty Recordings, the duo released their premier album The War Report which raised stunning success from Hip-hop audiences, peaking at the Billboard 200’s #21 spot.
In 1998, Noreaga made his debut as a solo artist with his album N.O.R.E. which stood for “N****z On (the) Run Eatin”, which surpassed the success of the duo’s debut record, rising to #3 on the Billboard 200 as well a

We are only roughly one month away from The Game’s 1992 featureless, throwback album. The album is labeled under a certain Bongo Productions—a familiar name which also appeared on Game’s hit The Documentary 2 and The Documentary 2.5 double album.
Now, if you were like me, you probably scratched your heads regarding the whereabouts of this Bongo character, who although obscure, has managed to appear as lead producer for hits like Kendrick Lamar’s “On Me” and Future’s “Dedicated”.
Ever the obscure figure, media and internet sources provide limited information about the mysterious producer. Despite the limitations, however, sources provide substantial bits pert

It’s been a pretty awesome week for Travis Scott—or rather, it’s actually been an awesome night for the young rapper/producer.
It appears Scott has sparked a nationwide internet invasion with the release of his much-awaited sophomore album, Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight—a project which he characterized as “Straight to the meat” and an “album that everybody would enjoy”.
Fans are also appealing quite happily to the wide scape of artists featured in the project; the album showcases collaborations from Andre 3000, Kendrick Lamar, 21 Savage, and Kid Cudi. The album was announced by Scott himself on his Beats 1 radio show and has dubbed it an Apple Music excusive.
However, later on that same day Sco

The hype train finally arrived last December when The Game hinted at his forthcoming album. Despite that, it would appear that fans aren’t necessarily rushing in with all the hype.
The Game’s debuting studio album The Documentary 1, met massive acclaim back in 2005, eventually becoming recognized as one of Hip-hop best West-coast rap records. Just last fall, fans rekindled the familiar hype when Game returned with The Documentary 2 AND The Documentary 2.5.
That being said, The Game’s latest announced project isn’t receiving the same responses as he did with the TD series.
However, it appears that the hype train has finally left station last night when The Game posted the album artw
