Patrick Baril, better known as Statik Selektah, was born January 30, 1982 in Boston. Selektah is a DJ, record producer, and radio personality. In 2003 he created ShowOff Marketing, which has had clients such as Capitol Records, Universal Records, Reebok, G-Unit Records, Diddy’s Vote or Die campaign, and many others. Statik Selektah founded Showoff Records in 2010, as well as forming the hip hop group 1982 with Termanology. Bryson Tiller just ended his 34 city T R A P S O U L tour this past weekend with a show in his hometown of Louisville. The singer received a special honor that day (March 12), as his hometown gave him a key to the city. They even went so far as to declare March 12 as Bryson Tiller Day. The Kentucky native got a special visit at his show from Detroit native Big Sean, who came to show support of Tiller.
