Wiz Khalifa announces Project Khalifa coming in January

Wiz Khalifa has officially announced his plan to release new music in 2016. Khalifa announced the news in a Christmas message addressed to fans on YouTube, entitled 'Wiz Sends a Message to his Taylors'. "I plan on putting out a project with some unreleased music that nobody's ever heard before and I’m going to call it 'Project Khalifa' and that's actually going to be available in January," says Khalifa in the video. The Pittsburgh born rapper also announced that he is planning to release a sequel to 'Rolling Papers', his third studio album that came out in 2011. During Khalifa's European tour in October, he released two new songs on his SoundCloud titled 'Outsiders' and 'Just Because'. Earlier this month, Khalifa released 'Cabin Fever 3', the third installment in his CF mixtape series, following on from 2012's 'Cabin Fever 2'. The release featured Taylor Gang affiliates like Juicy J and Curren$y as well as New Orleans rapper Kevin Gates. Khalifa has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award for his collaboration with Sam Smith on 'See You Again' which features on the soundtrack of Furious 7. By Devon Pyne for RAPstation.com
