Tech N9ne: Are You Ready for “The Storm”

Locked and loaded for his forthcoming album, The Storm, rapper Tech N9ne recently unveiled the album's 20-track list.

Scheduled for release on December 9, the album features a sizable amount of content divided into three parts, all reflecting different facets in the rapper's style. “Kingdom” can be characterized with a more contemporary vibe, as the second part “Clown Town” transitions into a darker tone. Finally, “G. Zone” takes a step into the life of a gangster.

The album features appearances from Strange Music confidantes such as Stevie Stone, Darrein Safron, Krizz Kaliko, and Big Scoob. Tech N9ne also mentioned the album's deluxe rendition, which boasts inclusion of a fourth installment featuring 12 more tracks, as well as more guest appearances. The rapper Murs is said to be included in this section.

“I wanted to give a gift to you, my fans and show you that I care about all of you, together,” announced the Strange Music boss, “To give you a song off of each level of this wonderful album. I hope you enjoy the songs as much as I do.”

Aaron Dontez Yates is American rapper and Strange Music founder, Tech N9ne. The clever pseudonym originates from the TEC-9 semi-automatic handgun, which rapper Black Walt compares to N9ne's rapid-fire hard-hitting rhymes.

Tech N9ne has sold over two million albums, and has contributed tracks for film scores, television programs, and video games. His most recent album, Special Effects met positive reviews, such as AllMusic's remark to N9ne “sticking to his guns with angry, soul-searching lyrics spewing out while the high-powered crossover collaborations fly about.”

The album premiered at #4 on the Billboard 200, and featured collaborations with several artists, including Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Audio Push, and Eminem.
