Singapore Kane is a Boston, MA native heavily influenced by the world around him. At a young age Sing began writing poetry about his life growing up poor but happy, witnessing police brutality and the struggles of the streets. Being of Jamaican descent Sing found himself rapping over reggae beats before finding hip hop, but that later helped define his style as he got older; with the Jamaican American Influence.
Busta Rhymes, Guru, 2pac, Heavy D and Big Daddy Kane were some of his first inspirations; everything from raps to style. Big Shug also played a huge part in Singapore's career introducing Sing to DJ Premier and Guru. Sing later toured Europe with Shug, Termanology and Special Teams (all Boston natives).
Over the years Sing has worked with DJ Premier, Illmind, Marco Polo, Royce da 5'9, Termanology, Terry Ganzi (Dancehall) and Shinehead (Dancehall) just to name a few.
Singapore Kane's forthcoming project, Waves N Shades, features guest spots from Reks, Big Shug and NBS and production from Lee Bannon and Marco Polo.
