J Stalin Answers 10-Year Follow Up, with “OBOTS Pt. 2”

Rapper J. Stalin first debuted with his unfiltered funky memoirs anchored upon street life in the Bay area, taking the form of his On Behalf Of The Streets album released back in 2006. Ten years following, Stalin returns with a follow-up album, dropping its Part Two today, October 28.

In an interview with HipHopDX Stalin shares, “I had to make [the album] for the streets, for more than just me. When I say it's on my behalf, I went from rapping just not about me, but speaking on behalf of the streets [and] my friends.”

“I'm talking about selling dope, busting guns, trying to have a different life. I picked up exactly where I left off from On Behalf Of The Streets ten years ago. It's like a movie. It's like I'm still the same J. Stalin that was on [the past album], but a more successful Stalin now,” he continued.

Stalin's latest project drops exactly one decade following OBOTS, marking its ten year anniversary. Showcased alongside Stalin's sharp rhymes are guest appearing artists such as G-Eazy, The Jacka, Nef the Pharoah, K-Camp, Philthy Rich, and several others, as well as K-Camp, who was featured on the lead single, “Could Be Worse”, which revisits ScHoolboy Q's “Blessed”.

On Behalf Of The Streets Part Two lists twenty-three tracks produced by The Mekanix, and are now available via iTunes store.
