Virgos Roll Deep! Sincerely, DJ Nu-Mark

Virgos are prolific and they roll deep! That’s the headlining statement DJ Nu-Mark provides for his latest Zodiac Tracks mix.

In the video, Nu-Mark is showcased masterfully juggling a setup which includes three turntables—and an energizer bunny. In this month’s live mix, Nu-Mark aims the spotlight at several iconic artists: Trugoy, De La Soul, Doug E. Fresh, Ludacris, Nas, N.O.R.E., Eazy-E, Beyonce, Bone Crusher, Rich Boy, Tommy DeBarge, Jay Electronica, Michael Jackson, Ray Charles, Roy Ayers, and “spreading love to the listener’s mates as well”.

Nu-Mark somehow manages to span a myriad of artists under a matter of a whopping seven minutes, seamlessly blending it into one magnum opus live mix. It’s hard to imagine, but you’ll find yourself popping to a Beyonce vibe to chill-cruising with a Ray Charles ambience, in a matter of a mere snap. ‘Don’t believe me—watch for yourself…

DJ Nu-Mark, an original member of the critically-applauded, gold-certified Hip-hop group Jurassic 5, Nu-Mark first took o the turntables at the age of 13. His high-caliber precision and cutting edge performances became a key element to the iconic alt-hip-hop group.

Taking the solo artist route in 2004, Nu-Mark graced his followers with an instrumental EP, which he designed “in the spirit of allowing beats to speak themselves”.

He’s synthesized remixes for celebrated artists such as Nas and Damian Marley, as well as mixing tracks for Saturday Night Live’s Lonely Island, and constructing the applauded Tropical Funk mix, “Take Me With You”.

His ground-shaking debut album Broken Sunlight released in 2012, and boasted three years of rigorous tinkering, experimenting, and collaborating. The album unveils both Nu-Mark’s inspirations and innovations leading to his collection of vehemently-passionate music featuring the likes of Aloe Blacc, Charles Bradley, Quantic, Large Professor, Bumpy Knuckles, A-skillz, Tiron & Ayomari, and J-Live.

Nu-Mark continues to offer the best of his work at present-day, from collaborative albums to monthly live mixes catering to each horoscope.

In the last two decades, DJ Nu-Mark has assembled a monstrously-impressive collection of diverse artistry. His virtuoso approach towards music production, as well as his organic stage performances have rightfully acclaimed him as one of music’s most innovative DJ’s in its entirety.
