Public Enemy & SE Bikes team up for branded bike, ride out event & free concert

Public Enemy has teamed with the acclaimed bike company SE Bikes to create a special PE branded bicycle. To celebrate their new partnership, SE Bikes will be hosting a ride out event today in New York City. The ride out's path will end in Brooklyn, where Public Enemy will be performing at a free concert.

The new bike, the 29" Public Enemy Big Ripper, blends the band's style, including their iconic logo and text featuring the band's most memorable song titles, with SE Bikes' famed tuning and quality, including their trademark floval tuning and Landing Gear forks. The bike is available for sale now at SE Bike dealers, with additional quantities being available throughout the year.

SE Bikes is celebrating this marriage of hip hop and bike culture with today's Public Enemy Ride Out, an organized group ride that will start in Harlem, wind its way through the heart of the city, and eventually end in Betsy Head Park in Brooklyn, where Public Enemy will perform at a free concert. The rideout will be attended by famed rider Dblocks, well known for his gravity defying wheelies and tricks.

The free concert is part of the City Parks Foundation's SummerStage initiative, which seeks to improve the quality of inner city life in New York City by sponsoring free events, like concerts, educational classes, and art shows, throughout the city's parks. The City Parks Foundation is a non profit group, and you can join Public Enemy in supporting their efforts here.

Anyone interested in joining the rideout should meet up today (June 21st, 2016) at 148th and Bradhurst in Harlem at 4:00pm. The Ride Out will begin moving through the city at 4:30, and the free Public Enemy concert is scheduled to begin at 7:00pm in Brooklyn's Betsy Head Park.
