It has been confirmed that Prince will begin a stripped-down tour around the UK. The legendary musician, whose Princestagram Instagram account recently took the internet by storm, will be playing Glasgow, Royal Concert Hall (November 27), London, Theatre Royal (November 29) and Birmingham, Symphony Hall (December 1).
The 'Prince Spotlight: Piano & A Microphone' tour was announced during a press conference at the musician's Paisley Park studios in Minnesota.
Prince allegedly told attendees: "Why do this now? For several reasons. For starters it is a challenge. I rarely get bad reviews because this is something that's been perfected for over 30 years. You have to try new things. With the piano it is more naked, more pure. You can see exactly what you get."
3RDEYEGIRL, a Prince affiliated group, said the star played a warm-up show for his tour at Paisley Park on Sunday saying, "Prince alone with his piano was epic. You could hear a pin drop."
