Get a taste of Loss Control Radio with "Power of Equality"

Loss Control Radio is RAPstation's weekly show of truly artful turntablism, featuring mixes from LA's most hardcore DJ, Peyote Cody. You can get a taste of Loss Control Radio's sound with Cody's latest, "Power of Equality Remix."

Check out the video for "Power of Equality Remix" here.

"Power of Equality Remix" mashes up The Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Power of Equality," Public Enemy's "Can't Truss It," from their 1991 album Apocalypse 91... The Enemy Strikes Black. James Brown's "Let A Man Come In And Do The Popcorn," and Main Source's "Live at the BBQ" to create something entirely unique; a new work that seamlessly blends and preserves the best qualities of the original tracks while infusing them with a new attitude. The lines separating the genres of rock, hip hop, and soul have never been so blurred as they are on the "Power of Equality Remix."

Once you've whet your appetite with the "Power of Equality Remix," you can get more of Peyote Cody's insane mixes on Loss Control Radio, which airs here at RAPstation.com every week on Saturday at 11:00pm EST. Peyote Cody has been spinning records for over two decades, and on Loss Control Radio, he routinely demonstrates his willingness to experiment and ability to mix disparate genres with effortless skill and style.
