New York rapper Prodigy already has a guaranteed place in music history thanks to his work with Mobb Deep, but the hip hop legend is still forging new ground with his latest solo EP, in which he fuses classic rap with EDM.
The new Untitled EP sees the 30 year rap pioneer fuse his unique style with production from EDM and trap & bass producers like Baauer and Skream, among others. The album also includes the track "Beast With It," which was previously released as part of Marvel's hip hop comic cross-promotion for the new Black Panther comic series.
Prodigy is reportedly still working on his next full studio album, The Helgian Dialectic, but that hasn't stopped him from releasing a number of single tracks over the course of the year, including collaborations with Raekwon, Roc Marciano, and Childish Gambino. Like those songs,the new EP is available officially for free on BitTorrent.
