Marcus Jordan has brushed off Kanye West's diss track 'Facts', which includes a reference to his father Michael Jordan. West released it on New Year's Eve and the track uses Future and Drake's 'Jumpman' as a sample and has the rapper stating: "Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy just jumped over Jumpman" which is a shot at Nike from the Adidas-affiliated artist. Jumpman is Nike's Michael Jordan-related merchandise line.
Marcus Jordan was the first of his family to respond to the line and took to Twitter on Saturday (Jan. 2) to make his thoughts clear. "Yeezy just jumped over @Jumpman23?? LOL I needed a good laugh to start my #2016," he tweeted. He then went on to post a GIF of his legendary father laughing.
'Facts' is West's third release of the year and follows behind 'All Day' and 'FourFiveSeconds', while his new track 'Wolves' debuted earlier at a fashion show. A new album titled 'SWISH' was announced in March of 2015 but so far there's no release date for West's seventh album, which is expected sometime this year.
