Born in the era where battle rap reigned, iLL Chris has made a name for himself with his witty punch lines and strong hustle. Born and raised as a military brat in Oklahoma & Virginia, L picked up influences from early 90's hip hop from his older brother.
After moving to the west coast, L hit the scene with high gear winning multiple notable emcee battles where he was accepted as a ranked contestant for the MTV "MC Battle" in New York. After once again relocating to Seattle, WA after high-school, iLL Chris aligned himself to the then still unrecognized music scene in the Northwest with his King of Seattle Battle win which was hosted by "106 & Park" champion Jin.
Over the last 2 years Chris has displayed a stellar track record of songs and performances along the west coast opening for notable acts such as Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, Big Sean, Mac Miller & many more. With Cameos in Mackelmore's "Thrift Shop" video and "Coolin with the Coolest" featuring Sir Michael Rocks, iLL Chris is easily identifiable by five words "AHH HE GOT THE VELCROS."
Now, Chris is back and returns with his newest visual, "Hell Up In Harlem" (Can't Nobody Hold Me Down Freestyle), featuring Smoke Dza and Leezy Soprano and all three go in over a legendary Bad Boy classic.
