Duck Down Records Announce "Silverback Set" in Memory of Sean Price

Sean Price's legacy continues on as Duck Down Records drops the Silverback Gorilla Box Set in memory of the “Monkey Bars” rapper.

Scheduled to release on November 25, Price's long trusted record label will be providing access to said box set, shipped out with a familiar cage door containing a myriad of memorabilia and trinkets that capture the essence of Price's career.

The package includes physical copies of Price's three critically-acclaimed albums: Monkey BarzJesus Price Supastar, and Mic Tyson, condensed in a classy 3-CD box kit, a custom magnetic gorilla cage polished with subtle graffiti marks depicting key words relative to the artist, hologram cover art displaying Price battling against a pack of blood-mongering gorillas, as well as including a custom deck of Sean Price trading cards, deluxe sticker packs, and a salutatory RIP patch all encased within the cage.

Throughout his career, the monkey bar superstar gained prominence on multiple fronts: From close ties with Boot Camp Clik, to being one-half of Heltah Skeltah, from one-third of Random Axe alongside Black Milk and Guilty Simpson, to garnering four albums with Camp Clik—not to mention dropping three critically-acclaimed solo records.

Sean Price passed away on August of last year, leaving not only his associates but Hip-hop in its vast entirety reeling over his unfortunate departure. The Silverback Gorilla Box Set serves as a stoic, shelf-top reminder of Price's legacy.
