Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, and more on People's Choice Awards

A laundry list of Hip-hop artists snag multiple nominations for next year's People's Choice Awards.

Los Angeles—The Microsoft Theater will be hosting the 2017 People's Choice Awards scheduled to premier on January 18. As preparations are already underway, several nominees across an eclectic range of categories have already been named.

While Kendrick Lamar and GOOD Music boss Kanye West are both featured on the Favorite Hip Hop Artist list, Drake is one among other iconic artists contending for the Favorite Male Artist title.

Apart from this, the OVO Sound Star has already racked up a phenomenal year, marking 12 Soul Train Award nominations, 14 BET Hip Hop nominations, as well as surpassing Michael Jackson's record for the most American Music Award nominations racking up 13 onto his list.

Veteran rap artists 50 Cent and LL Cool J also make an appearance under Favorite Premium Drama series for Cent's Power and Favorite TV Crime Drama Actor for Cool J's role on NCIS: Los Angeles.
