Due to a mix up by Drake's record company, his latest single "Hotline Bling" was reportedly not submitted for next year’s Grammy Awards.
Drake is currently up for five nominations at the upcoming ceremony including Best Rap Performance for 'Back to Back', and Best Rap Song for 'Energy'. But Drake's 'Hotline Bling' was reportedly overlooked by his record label, Cash Money.
The song was not submitted due to a clerical error and would have been up for multiple awards, including Record Of The Year. Even Adele expressed admiration for the song and offered to collaborate on the track with him. She said: "I really want us to do an official remix. I love Drake. I love Drake so much. I even got the coat that's in the ('Hotline Bling') video - I got it delivered the other day, I ordered it. The red one. I had a drink like three weeks ago [with] my best friends - in fact, it was to celebrate 'Hello'. And I was off my face because I don't really drink anymore, and they've got a video of me dancing to it on a coffee table as well."
Other Grammy nominations include Kendrick Lamar, who received 11 nominations along with Taylor Swift and The Weeknd who both have seven. The 58th Grammys will air live on February 15, 2016 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
