A Tribe Called Quest's "Can I Kick It" is back with a Rhythm Scholar remix

A Tribe Called Quest's "Can I Kick It" was released almost twenty-five years ago, but the classic hip hop track has been infused with new life thanks to Rhythm Scholar, the DJ with an eclectic taste in music and the incredible ability to inject funk into any track.

Building on his reputation for taking great songs and somehow making them even better, Rhythm Scholar has infused the classic Quest track with an added dose of smooth funk and personality. "Can I Kick It" was originally recorded in the late 80's when most of A Tribe Called Quest were still teenagers, and his since gone on to become a beloved hip hop classic. It's been covered and referenced by a number of other musicians, including Jay Z, Sage Francis, Drake, MF Doom, and Public Enemy's Chuck D.

You can find more of Rhythm Scholar's remixes at his official website, where he's remixed everybody from De La Soul and Eric B & Rakim to The Beatles to Tears For Fears.
