Dallas Penn, Former Co-Host Of "The Combat Jack Show," Has Died

Dallas Penn, former co-host of The Combat Jack Show and longtime writer, has died. His wife, who goes by Chocolate Snowflake (C.S.), made the announcement on his personal Facebook page Wednesday morning (May 1).

"Dallas has ascended to the music that was waiting for him," she wrote. "From September 1970 to April 2024, he always said it don’t stop, it won’t stop, and he’s waiting for us all at the Funkadelic Stevie Wonder Sean Price party in the sky. Rest my love and see you in our other lifetimes. Love you always, for all time."

Kendrick Lamar has resurfaced with a diss track aimed directly at Drake. A Tribe Called Quest Named Among 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees

A Tribe Called Quest is among the eight performers being inducted into the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The news arrived via American Idol on Sunday (April 21) with co-hosts Lionel Richie and Ryan Seacrest unveiling this year’s class. Other inductees include Peter Frampton, Mary J. Blige, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Kool & the Gang and Ozzy Osbourne. Jam Master Jay's Killers Found Guilty For 2002 Murder Of The Run-DMC Legend

The two men accused of killing Jam Master Jay—Karl Jordan Jr. and Ronald Washington—were reportedly found guilty on all counts for the 2002 murder of the Run-DMC legend. Hip-Hop pioneer Eddie Cheba has diedAccording to close friend Van Silk, he passed away from a cardiac arrest at 7:16 a.m. ET on Tuesday (February 13). Cheba's sister, Sarah Shawn, confirmed the news on social media. Cheba had been sick for at least six months and suffered not one but three strokes. The trailblazing DJ was considered one of the biggest club DJs in New York City throughout the 1970s and could easily pack the house on any given night.
