Legendary Hip-Hop Duo Eric B. and Rakim Reunite!
In what seems more like a dream than reality, legendary hip-hop duo Eric B. and Rakim have just announced they intend to renunite this year. Earlier this week, the native New Yorkers made the announcement on Twitter in a series of posts playing off the current presidential between Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump. Their debut album, 1987’s Paid In Full, featured “Eric B. is President” and they are asking American voters to elect him as the country’s new leader.

Run DMC's classic hip hop holiday anthem, Christmas In Hollis, is being re-released in a special, limited edition vinyl package, just weeks before Christmas.
Legacy Recordings, the branch of Sony Music dedicated to preserving and re-releasing classic rock, pop, and hip hop, will be re-releasing Run DMC's seminal Christmas tune on a limited edition, 12" vinyl picture disc, which will be decorated with an image of the band on one side and will feature the group's logo on the other. The record will also feature the previously unreleased instrumental version of Christmas in Hollis.

Today in Hip-hop marks nineteen years of Hip-hop supergroup's The Firm's debut and only studio album, The Album.
The idea of initiating such collective originated from prominent rapper Nas, manager Steve Stoute, as well as Dr. Dre and Trackmasters. When the group assembled, the original roster featured the combined talents of Nas, AZ, Foxy Brown, and Cormega, the same artists appearing on Nas' “Affirmative Action” off his 1996 album, It Was Written.
