Following Showtime's "Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics & Men," Hulu is back with a trailer for their version of a Wu-Tang documentary called "Wu-Tang: An American Saga." 

The 10-episode series is scheduled to premiere September 4 on the media streaming platform. Ahead of its release, Hulu has dropped a trailer for the docu-series, which highlights the cast.

Roc Nation signee and 9th Wonder protégé Rapsody has announced a new album. Titled "Eve," the project will serve as the follow-up to 2017's "Laila's Wisdom." 

In an interview with Essence, the North Carolina-bred MC explained the concept behind the album.

After several erroneous reports stated Geto Boys MC Bushwick Bill had died on Sunday (June 9), his family quickly squashed the rumors flying around the internet. Although the Houston rap legend was in the hospital with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, he was still fighting for his life. Both his daughter and son took to social media to assure Bushwick’s fans their father was still alive. 

But only hours later, Bushwick passed away at a Houston hospital. 

Hip Hop quickly flooded social media to mourn the loss of Bushwick, including Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Naughty By Nature, Cypress Hill, Busta Rhymes and Erick Sermon.

J. Period's long awaited album, The RISE UP Project, has finally arrived. Boasting contributions from The Roots' Black Thought, De La Soul's Posdnuous and former Organized Konfusion MC Pharoahe Monch, the 10-track effort comes with executive production from DJ Jazzy Jeff, Young Guru, DJ Khalil and Period himself. 

"As artists, we have a responsibility to showcase unity, raise awareness and take action,” Period said in a press release. “In order to truly change hearts and minds, and bring people together, movements need music. Now is the time to elevate the conversation and raise the bar. It’s our time to rise up.”

Geto Boys' co-founder Bushwick Bill shared some devastating news with the public this week. On Wednesday (May 1), the Houston-bred rap vet revealed he's currently battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer. 

He received the diagnosis in February but only told close friends and family. In fact, his Geto Boys brethren — Willie D and Scarface — were unaware of his health issues. 

Bushwick Bill explained to TMZ what he's up against but insists he isn't afraid to die. 

"I’ve been keeping it to myself, but I’m getting ready to tell Scarface and Willie D," he said. "I’ve only told close family members but that’s about it. I figured keeping it myself isn’t helping nobody.

Freddie Gibbs and veteran producer Madlib's upcoming collaborative album, Bandana, is inching closer to fruition. Details have been relatively scarce up until now.

During an interview with German magazine JUICE, Gibbs revealed the laundry list of guests appearing on the follow-up to 2014's Piñata. 

He mentioned "legends" Yasiin Bey, Anderson .Paak, Killer Mike and Pusha T contributed to the album, pointing out Mike and Pusha appear on one particular track together. Gibbs appeared grateful he was able to work with “guys who I have respect for, and who respect me too.”

Although a definitive release date hasn't been set, RCA is expected to drop it sometime in May.
