Killer Mike's Upcoming Solo Album Features André 3000 + Lil Wayne
Killer Mike descended on SXSW in Austin, Texas last week, joining the thousands of others for the annual trek. At one point, he apparently played his forthcoming solo project—tentatively titled Michael—for Milwaukee radio host/producer DJ Kenny Perez. According to Perez, Killer Mike recruited the likes of Lil Wayne, André 3000 and Dave Chappelle for some of the tracks.
“Yesterday I got the chance to sit and listen to @killermike new solo project ‘Michael,'” Perez wrote on Instagram. “I can without a doubt tell you to RUN and embrace it when it drops. The project is a journey through his life and he doesn’t hold back. Collabs with Andre 3000, Lil Wayne, Dave Chapelle [sic], and more.”
Killer Mike and El-P are also putting the final touches on Run

De La Soul‘s Posdnuos and Maseo were the musical guests on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Thursday (March 16). While Fallon did his best to keep the mood light, there was an inevitable heaviness in the air. Prior to the performance, both Pos and Maseo sat down with Fallon for a brief chat. Fallon immediately brought up the elephant in the room—Dave’s physical absence. Dave, who was one-third of the pioneering Hip-Hop group, died suddenly on February 12, just weeks before De La Soul’s catalog would finally go on streaming services. Shortly after the sit-down interview, Pos and Maseo joined The Roots for a performance of the 1996 single “Stakes Is High,” which was produced by the late, great J. Dilla. With Questlove on the drums and Black Thought on the mic, De La Sou

Just who is Real Bad Man, you ask? We had the same question. Turns out they are a Los Angeles-based label, merch company and production team who's worked with the likes of Boldy James and Pink Siifu. Founded by Adam Weissman (art director for Stüssy, Union and Undefeated) together with artist Noah Butkis, RBM has always been rooted in music.
"I know why I started it," Weissman said in an interview with

Ice-T is making sure he's around for his wife Coco and daughter Chanel. On Tuesday (March 14), the Original Gangster share a photo of himself getting what appears to be an MRI. He assured his fans, "Nothing’s wrong… Just checking my Engine! I seriously advise all my guys out there to do your Check ups… Don’t wait till you’re sick! Early diagnosis can save your life. Real talk."
But for some reason, rather than take the (good) advice, Ice-T was criticized for having the money to afford a test like that. Comments like, "Unfortunately my health insurance would not pay for this heart scan. I could only get the tread mill stress test" and "Great message but if only I could afford an optional CT scan" started pouring in. So, in true Ice-T fashion, he addressed that, too.

Fugees MC Wyclef Jean recently alarmed his fans when he shared a video of himself in the hospital to social media. Dressed in a hospital gown and mask, the Hip Hop legend strolled through the halls as he made his way back to his room. He said, "I've never stayed in a hospital before overnight. Should be fun though."
Jean says he grew concerned after a trip to Miami. Following his return to Los Angeles, he felt numbness on the right side of his face and quickly sought medical attention from his primary care physician who sent him to the emergency room. Dr. Waleed Lashin determined the numbness was likely due to exhaustion and stress. While he still has to undergo some tests next week, Jean is confident he'll make a full recovery.
On Monday (March 13), he shared an In
