YG has announced what he calls "The World's 2nd $100 CD," a special limited edition, physical copy of his upcoming Red Friday mixtape, which will only be available on Black Friday.
Red Friday was originally scheduled to only be available digitally, but hardcore YG fans can secure a physical copy of the mixtape for their collections... for a price. The $100 CD will be signed by the Compton rapper and only 1,400 copies of the disc will be printed. The CD will go on sale this Friday at YG's meet and greet event in Oakland, California, and once the CD sells out, it's gone forever.
You can get more details about the event on YG's Twitter here.
Red Friday is YG's second major album of the year. In June, YG released the critically acclaimed Still Brazy, which peaked at #6 on the Billboard Top 200 and featured guest appearances from Drake, Lil' Wayne, Nipsey Hustle, and more. Many critics lauded the album for it's G-funk sound and YG's willingness to experiment and create music that doesn't necessarily match up with mainstream or commercial trends.
