CZARFACE and Marvel Comics Bring You “A Fistful of Peril”, Topped Off with Exclusives

Swooping in with a flashy return, Hip-hop's favorite antiheroes announce their latest album with one word: Excelsior!

Recently reaching out to the trio rostered by Esoteric, 7L, and Wu-Tang's Inspectah Deck amidst their summer recording sessions, Marvel Comics aspired for a Czarface touch on their Black Panther web series, as well as backing the promotion of its breakout comic line. The team-up led to “All in Together Now”, which then set foundations for a full-fledged album. The trio also attests to memorable studio sessions resonating with comical conversations about video games, superheroes, and villains whilst recording beats—the outcome was A Fistful of Peril.

“Linking with Marvel definitely activated that super soldier serum,” remarked Esoteric, “ The creative fuel we got from collaborating with one of Czarface's biggest inspirations had us blasting through tracks on a rampage, and it's showcased on this record.” Deck affirmed the group's enthusiasm with an intriguing one-liner: “Czarface is like that danger room mentality so when we link we creating something spontaneous.”

Their distinguished comic-inspired content blends into a cosmic lyrical explosion in the record's second track “Two In The Chest”, polished with 7L's production which transmits the song's supercharged rhymes amidst a Rage Against The Machine-like backdrop. Interestingly, 7L implied certain “supernatural” forces inherent in the album's production: “We just went in, played beats, and bounced ideas off each other and ran with it. No real plan or execution for the songs. Just bugging out.”

Built atop two previous critically-acclaimed albums, A Fistful of Peril showcases what many perceive as the trio's most cohesive content, not to mention once again flaunting their iconic fusion of music and art. The album consists of 13 tracks and features guest artists such as Meyhem Lauren, Conway The Machine, Psycho Les of The Beatnuts, and graffiti legend Rast RFC—all of which flawlessly blending with the trio's iconic sense of humor and hard-hitting lines.

Czarface has also allowed access to purchase their limited-edition bundle, which includes exclusive content such as the album's vinyl version with its variant Benjamin Marra-authored cover art (only available through Get on Down), as well as a limited-edition T-shirt and a CD version of the album.
