Today (March 7), West took to Twitter to let the world know that he is thinking of killing all future releases on compact discs and sticking exclusively to streaming for the rest of his career. “I was thinking about not making CDs ever again… Only streaming,” he Tweeted. “The Yeezus album packaging was an open casket to CDs r.i.p.”
He soon seemed to confirm his own decision, saying, “uuuuuuum, so there it is… No more CDs from me.” West eventually returned to Twitter once more to question why people won’t just let him live his life. “question… Why do people not want me to be me?” he tweeted. “I want people to be the best version of themselves and I will be the best version of me. Growing and learning but not being told to stop …not being stunted. please avoid trying to talk me out of being me in the future.” He ended his short outburst with “#hashtag positive vibes.”
West’s wife exercises a similar lack of restraint on social media as she posted a nude photo, with black bars over her private parts, on Instagram. She posted the photo with the caption, “When you’re like I have nothing to wear LOL.”
