Yesterday Drake announced his plans to create "a soundtrack to your life," and he's making good on those ambitions by releasing four new songs in one day.
Drake shared the four new songs on his OVO Sound Radio show, currently airing on Beats 1. The first track, "Two Birds One Stone," has already caused a fair share of controversy online, as Drake reportedly mocks "Day N' Nite" rapper Kid Cudi, who recently checked himself into rehab for depression. The track has already been meant with an overwhelmingly negative reaction from critics and fans online, many of whom are accusing Drake of shaming and bullying those suffering from mental illness.
The other three tracks, for better or worse, haven't received as much attention or ire as the "Two Birds One Stone," but are still noteworthy releases nonetheless: "Sneakin," which features Atlanta rapper 21 Savage, "Fake Love," and "Wanna Know," a remix of a song by UK rapper Dave.
"Two Birds One Stone," "Sneakin," and "Fake Love" are the first three tracks to be released from Drake's new "More Life" project, which the Canadian rapper describes not as an album or a mixtape, but a "playlist project" featuring music not just from Drake, but also from artists associated with OVO. Drake says his goal with the playlist is to create a soundtrack for life -- a lofty goal, but considering the amount of albums Drake has sold and the rapid pace at which he's releasing new songs, might not be an unattainable goal.
