Professional angry man and singer/songwriter Chris Brown was freed yesterday, after putting up a quarter of a million dollars in bail and a fourteen hour standoff with police. Depending on who you ask, this is either the latest attempt by the media and police to villify Brown, or it's simply the next chapter of Chris Brown being Chris Brown.
Brown's latest run in with the law began a couple days ago, when police showed up at Brown's home to question him about allegedly assaulting a woman (again.) Brown refused to let the police in, and after a fourteen hour standoff, he finally relented after police obtained a search warrant. Brown was then arrested on suspicion of assault for a deadly weapon, and was released after posting bail.
Brown is accused of assualting model Baylee Curran, who says she was invited to Brown's home to discuss a future project. After an alleged altercation over jewelry, Brown reportedly pulled a gun on the model. Curran says she ran out of the house, leaving her belongings behind, which she says were only returned to her after Brown's people tried to get her to sign a non-disclosure agreement promising to not discuss the events of the alleged assault.
Mark Gregaros, the celebrity lawyer who has worked for a number of famous clients in the past, ranging from Winona Ryder to infamous convicted murderer Scott Peterson, will represent Brown in court. Today he did the extremely (sarcasm) professional thing and tweeted about Brown, saying "Thanks to everyone for their support and well wishes. Chris is out and well. The allegations against him are demonstrably false #TeamBreezy."
