Fresh off the "North of Hell" tour, the Minneapolis hip-hop duo Atmosphere comprised of emcee Slug (Sean Daley) and DJ/producer Ant (Anthony Davis) have announced a surprise video for "Fortunate." The track comes from the pair's latest album, 2014's Southsiders, which has received rave reviews from critics and fans alike.
"As a thank you to everyone who came out to the North of Hell shows, we made a video," Slug said in a press release. "We asked our friend Dan Monick to shoot this video on Ant's birthday, outside of our most recent Los Angeles show at the Hollywood Palladium. Shout out to anyone who waited in one of the many lines to help make this tour such a fun experience. We truly are fortunate to have the most amazing fans/friends/supporters in the entire world."
The video itself finds Slug being entertained by the slew of fans waiting in line outside of the Hollywood Palladium. He occasionally raps along to the track, but spends most of the time collecting random objects from fans, including a paddleball, magazine and folding chair. Ant is seen walking behind him giving out free hugs. With a healthy dose of dry humor, it will definitely put a smile on your face.
