Nov.16th – Houston’s DJ Screw dies of a drug over-dose on this day at his recording studio in Houston , Texas in 2000.

DJ Screw born Robert Earl Davis Jr. invented what was known as the “Chopped And Screwed” style of hip-hop , which was slowing down well known hit records by artists like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony , Will Smith , Biz Markie and The Notorious B.I.G. and changing the B.P.M.’s and remixing them with scratches and beat skips.
