Oct.10th- DJ Skribble , formerly of the Young Black Teenagers was born Scott Ialacci in Long Island , New York , on this day in 1968.

Skribble , along with Kamron , ATA , Firstborn and Tommy Never formed YBT , a group whose concept of 5 white teens calling themselves Young Black Teenagers was something I put together even before meeting the future members.

Young Black Teenagers released two albums ; their 1991 Self-Entitled debut and 1993’s “Dead Enz Kidz Doin’ Lifetime Bidz” on S.O.U.L. Records.

When YBT went their separate ways , Skribble continued deejaying and going into production as well. Skribble has worked with both former Fugees members Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill on separate projects.

In 1996 Skribble worked with Bill Irwin on the musical “Hip Hop Wonderland”.

Skribble has released several mix albums from 1997 to 2005 on various labels such as Atlantic and London Records.

In addition Skribble has worked on MTV’s “The Grind” , “Total Request Live” , “Spring Break” , “Hip Hop Night” and “Millennium Special Live”.

Skribble currently owns a car customization shop in Queens , New York called “Skribble’s Auto Spa”.
