July 20th – Cypress Hill release their chart topping, multi-platinum selling sophomore album “Black Sunday” on Ruffhouse Records, on this day in 1993.

“Black Sunday” contained the group’s classic crossover smash hit “Insane In The Brain”, which garnered the group a huge cult following among rock audiences.

“Black Sunday”, which was produced by the group’s DJ Muggs along with T-Ray, also produced the hit “I Ain’t Goin’ Out Like That.”

“Black Sunday” would not only help the group reach a wider audience but would also serve as a vehicle to cross rap into rock and alternative circles as well.
